I know how stress can have a way of consuming us, making it impossible to focus on anything else as our minds race at a mile a minute. It feels like a dark cloud following you, keeping you stuck in a state of constant overthinking and worry. While it may feel like this cloud takes up more space inside, it often could spill into our relationships and surroundings, leaving us energetically drained and taking up space that could be filled with love instead.
As we become more distant and less engaged, overwhelmed by intense emotions, we may turn to habits or compulsive behaviors as a way to self-soothe and stay busy—fearing that if we sit with our feelings, they might pull us into a dark place we can't escape.
